Wear Running Shoes For Weight Loss

The perks of donning lightweight running shoes are assorted and multiple. First and foremost when running a race of any length a weight alteration of only a few ounces can make you run significantly faster. For training runs a lighter shoe is obviously going to make things a lot easier. Obviously, there are downsides to donning super lightweight shoes that I’ll talk about, but for the most part lightweight running shoes are amazing!

In racing, any narrow benefit you can get over your challengers will be a benefit. It doesn’t matter if it’s a charity run, a road race, or a track meet, the weight of your shoes will play a big part in how fast you can finish. A lightweight shoe will give you extra energy and will provide a mental benefit by making your feet feel light as a feather. Making a switch to a lighter race shoe is one of the best ways to slice a few seconds off your best race times.

In your regular exercises, a lightweight shoe can provide benefits. Think of your hardest workout of the week. It’s definitely a speed workout of some kind, maybe a ladder workout? Yep, now picture that run with lighter shoes. You’ll be running quicker and easier than you ever have with a brand-new pair of lightweight running shoes.

Most of the really lightweight running shoes don’t provide great support. So, if your feet have a tendency to over or under pronate, you’ll need to confirm you’re still donning a shoe that will allocate plenty of support. The last thing you want to have happen is getting hurt because of the fact that you put on the wrong shoe.

My suggestion? Get a good couple of running shoes particular to the type of races you do. You’ll probably need spikes of some kind for a track meet, while a wide range of shoes are acquirable for additional road races. For your long distance training runs, you’ll need to ensure you’ve bought a good mixture of great support without adding a lot of bulk. Your speed workouts are a toss-up. You may desire to get some super-lightweight training shoes just for that goal, or you could just don your regular trainers. It’s all up to you.

WORK OUT
WARM-UP: 10 MINUTES OF SKIPPING!

Exercise #1
PROPER- Step Up (Higher Up Then Normal)
12 Reps a Side, alternating, then close stance squat hold for 15 seconds.
NO REST Go Back to Step Up RIGHT after! 4 sets.
Use a HEAVY weight
-Push down and through with your HEEL
-Stand STRAIGHT up
-Push in with the hips, squeeze with the glutes

EXERCISE #2
Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts
10 per side then 15 sec Rom. HOLD
NO REST Back to Exercise #2 4 SETS
-Fix eyes on one part of the ground
-Leg far back full extended
-Touch ground, pause, stand back up
-Squeeze and push with glutes

EXERCISE #3
LONG Bulgarian Split Squats (Stutter Style)
6 per side (1 Rep, 3 Quarter Bottom Reps) then into Glute HOLD for 15 secs
NO REST BACK ON TO EXERCISE #3 4 sets.
-Chest up, straight down and up
-Push with front heels, don’t lean forward

Do this complete leg routine twice per week for four weeks, with 10 minutes of skipping before and after!
