The Importance of Weight Training in Losing Weight Fast

Many people that are seeking to lose weight do not understand the vital role that strength training plays in helping you to keep excess weight off permanently. Most people focus on diet and tend to ignore the exercise element. Even those that do develop the habit to exercise tend to only focus on aerobic exercise however you must not ignore weight training and just think that it is for bodybuilders or only for men since women need to build and maintain healthy muscles too. Tip 1: Just get started

The biggest step is to just get started as this is often the hardest thing for most people especially those that have never been on a weight training program before. Join a local gym nearby or buy a good piece of weight training equipment and go through a workout routine.

Tip 2: Do not weight train too much

Weight training is very stressful on your body and it is designed to be stressful so as to trigger new muscle growth or maintain what you already have. If you get over enthusiastic and start lifting almost every day then that can be very bad for your overall health and will definitely not help you to lose weight.

Weight training helps to add muscle to your body which is critical since muscle burns calories continuously. This is important for weight loss purposes since if you can raise your overall metabolism then burning fat becomes a lot easier as it is very difficult and actually potentially dangerous to go on very strict low calorie diets.

Do not even bother trying those starvation diets as again they are very risky for your overall health and well being. It is not necessary to give up your favorite foods, you may need to lower quantities and portion sizes but if you like a food then go ahead and keep eating it and monitor your weight closely and make adjustments accordingly.

Tip 3: Train heavy for short periods

The whole point of a weight training workout is to trigger new muscle growth and not to spend hours and hours in the gym. A good workout routine can simply consist of 3 sets where the first 2 sets are light sets just to warm up and the third set is your heavy set where you lift the most weight you can for 5 to 8 repetitions.

The key point is to lift heavy enough weights to trigger new muscle growth. This does not mean you need to do a ton of reps or do reps until your muscles hurt. Just lift a heavy load for a few reps and that should be enough. Also know when to draw the line and know that you have built enough muscle and then focus on maintenance. Weight training can really make a big difference in helping anyone lose weight and stay fit so make it a regular part of your life. A recent research has shown that by having sex three times a week can burn as many calories as running 30 miles per week. This is indeed good news for people who wants to lose weight easily. However,this can certainly be bad news for people without a sexual partner or someone whose partner who is repulsed by the idea of having sex so often.

Some experts believe that sex in a loving relationship has a healing effect on the body and mind, however promiscuous sex will have an opposite effect probably arising from guilt. That is good news for loyal devoted couples, don’t you think so?

Having sex, just like when you are exercising produces endorphins and prostaglandins hormones. These hormones not only provide you with a great workout but also help to reduce pain levels, relieve stress, boost your immunity system and lower bad cholesterol level. Many doctors believe that by having a healthy sex life, you will live longer and slows down the aging process.

Maximize your weight loss, so that you can lose weight faster by working out at the gym and jumping into bed more often with your partner. Engaging in an active lifestyle is one of the biggest boosters for your sexual prowess. The more fit you are, the better and fun your sex life will be because you will be more flexible and do not tire as easily.

On two separate occasions, the women first watched a short travel film followed by an abbreviated X-rated film while cycling. Researchers calculated their sexual response and discovered that the women’s vaginal responses were 169 percent greater after exercising.

I have always advocated that to lose weight healthily, we have to combine weight resistant exercises with cardio exercises and have a healthy weight loss diet plan. Now it seems that I have to throw in an active sex life into this equation for a healthy weight loss program.

There has been increasing media coverage about numerous studies showing that a diet rich in calcium helps reduce body fat.

Why is calcium important in weight loss?

Calcium is a fat burner. High-calcium diets seem to favor burning rather than storing fat. Researchers say this is because calcium stored in fat cells plays an important role in fat storage and breakdown.

Calcium changes the efficiency of weight loss . In fact, study after study has shown that the people with the highest calcium intake overall weighed the least, and the people with the lowest calcium intake had the highest percentage of body fat. (2,3,4)

When overall calorie consumption is accounted for, calcium not only helps keep weight in check, but can be associated specifically with decreases in body fat. A low daily calcium intake is associated with greater tendency to gain weight, particularly in women. (5)

But aren’t dairy products fattening?

Consumption of calcium-rich dairy foods can actually help to reduce and prevent obesity. Over 20 recent studies show that milk products actually contribute to weight loss.

A new study in obese adults, presented at the First Annual Nutrition Week Conference, showed that increasing calcium intake by the equivalent of two dairy servings per day could reduce the risk of obesity by as much as 70 percent. (8)

Glycomacropeptides (found in whey proteins derived from milk) in particular, are known to create feelings of satiety and fullness and decrease food intake. (11,12,13) Foods that are a good source of calcium include cheese, milk, ice cream, baked beans and other dried legumes, dried figs, broccoli, most dark-green leafy vegetables, and soft fish bones like those in canned salmon.
