This video is utter garbage. 4 minutes will do nothing – even if you do. During the 4 minutes you may burn 20 calories and make NO CHANGE TO YOUR METABOLISM.
If it was possible to burn fat in only 4 minutes a day EVERYONE WOULD DO IT!
There is abossolutely no way that either of those 2 in the video look like they do with just a 4 minute regime! I don’t know why they insult peoples’ intelligence with this dogwash!

Great video. But …
Great video. But i’m wondering what the tension/level needs to be on the bike. When I do long haul pedalling on the stationay bike I tend to have more tension and when I sprint I tend to have less. What should the tension be like for Tabata? Thanks.

Most people, even in decent shape cant run more than 6-8 seconds at full force. And if they do, they will be breathing really hard and pretty blown. To do 8 rounds of this is not easy task. First you have the task of running at full force for 20 seconds. You need to reach that. Then is the recovery issue. Just how like boxers are programmed to recover in a minute, you need to be programmed to recover the most in those 10 seconds.

An exercise bike is slowly ruining my life.
My girlfriend got one and now all she wants to do in the evening is go on it. We used to shag every night, now i don’t think we have in about 2 months!!!
Thanks to this bike, i have balls like watermelons. It won’t be pretty when it finally blows.

@SixPackExposed well im still getting back into shape,only been back a month and a half. But i got some kettlebells last night. First go i did 20 reps 10 second rest. 7 sets it was brutal. But not as bad as the 90 minutes I did on my bike a few hours before. Oh and ive lost about14 lbs in about a month and a half and have added alot of bulk too.

If you can do this for 45 minutes you are my hero… They explained the theory a little “too bad” in order for “normal people” to understand it… You need to go about 150% of your max heart rate, pretty much… If you do it right you are puking after the 4 minutes… Then your body needs 30+ hours to recover from the brutality… Do it with 20s burpees, 10s rest, 20s burpees, 10s rest for 8 rounds… If you are not dead after than you are doing tabata wrong…

Lol… Do the workout with 170% of max heart rate and come back with dumb comments. The tabata protocol has proven to rip up more fat (while burning less calories during workout) by incorporating the EPOC effect, which means afterburn. You burn calories at an elevated rate for up to 48 hours after this becuase your body is running on EMPTY, literally. People who do Tabata usually do not do it right. do 20 seconds of burpees then rest 10 seconds, then do 20 seconds of burpees, for 8 rounds. FAIL
